In 2016 J.P. performed on New Faces: Unrepped at the Just For Laughs festival in Montreal. He was named a finalist in New York’s Funniest 2017 and made his television debut that same year on Comedy Central’s Roast Battle II, filmed at the Comedy Cellar in New York. McDade has also appeared on truTV’s Comedy Knockout and Comedy Central’s This Week at the Comedy Cellar. In 2022 he appeared on Late Night with Seth Meyers.
J.P. has toured as a recurring feature act with Stavros Halkias, Sam Morril, and Rachel Feinstein. He had previously opened for Colin Quinn, Norm MacDonald, Gilbert Gottfried, and several other prominent comedians.
As a writer, J.P. worked on season 3 of Comedy Knockout, Sports Illustrated’s Sportsperson of the Year Awards, and as a contributing writer for the Comedy Central Roast of Alec Baldwin.
J.P. McDade is a stand up comedian and comedy writer based in New York City, originally from Newtown, Connecticut. He performs regularly at various comedy clubs and independent venues around New York and across the country.
